Week in Hilton Head

After Christmas, Finn and his family headed to Hilton Head Island for some more family time relaxing by the ocean. They stayed close to the ocean and walked, ran, and strolled the beach daily. Finn had been preparing for the sounds of the ocean with his sleep sheep:)

The fam. Trivia: Did you know Sarah and Matt got engaged on the beach on HHI?  True story,  at "sunrise."
proud grandparents (when earned, and if you ask them nicely, they might break into tune with the "We're Proud of You" song!)

Grandma Nancy was a hot commodity! Rachel and Finn had to share their Grandma Nancy. As you can see, Rachel was a great helper during Finn's feedings. She helped change diapers too!

...and Aunt Jessica and Rachel too! (also pictured: one of the many puzzles completed that week)
While in Hilton Head, Sarah, Matt, Finn, and Grandma & Grandpa Shippy met up with Amy, Brian, and Gavin who were also in SC for the holidays. The Stones drove over for the day to visit and meet Finn and have lunch together at the Salty Dog Cafe. Sarah and Amy have been friends since middle school, were study buddies in high school, college roommates, and have remained close friends so they really enjoyed introducing their little ones to each other.

Gavin loved Finn's hair and had his hand on Finn's head in all the pics! So cute!

Vacationing with family in HHI was a great way to ring in 2011.. not that any of us made it to midnight! (though Jessica put forth the best effort:) Happy New Year everyone!
